BENGALURU (India CSR Exclusive): Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global IT services and consulting company, has allocated a substantial amount of INR 10.20 Crore towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in designated aspirational districts across India during the fiscal year 2022-23. These initiatives aim to bring about positive change and sustainable development in various sectors, including education, employment, and digital literacy.
Under the Youth Employment Program, TCS has extended support to multiple states and union territories, spanning a wide range of districts. For the Youth Employment Program, TCS has allocated INR 7.63 Crore, with the objective of empowering youth through skill development and employment opportunities in the aspirational districts.

TCS has also supported the BridgeIT program, which aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance digital literacy. This program has been implemented in Mizoram, Karnataka, Odisha, and Jharkhand, targeting districts such as Aizawl, Raichur, Yadgir, Gajapati, Rayagada, Lohardaga, and Latehar. TCS has dedicated INR 1.46 Crore to the BridgeIT program, focusing on providing access to digital infrastructure, computer education, and promoting technological literacy in these districts.
In line with its commitment to promoting quality education, TCS has contributed to the LaaS (Learning as a Service) program in Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. The program aims to enhance learning outcomes through innovative teaching methods and digital education solutions. TCS has allocated INR 0.92 Crore to facilitate improved learning outcomes and technological integration in these districts.
Recognizing the significance of fostering digital literacy and STEM education, TCS has supported the goIT program. This program has reached districts in Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, and Ladakh. Specific districts such as Yavatmal, Dhule, Palnadu District, Vadodara, Palakkad, Visakhapatnam, Dhenkanal, and Kendujhar have received assistance through the goIT program. With a focus on inspiring and equipping students with essential computer science and IT skills, TCS has allocated INR 0.60 Crore to the goIT program.
Furthermore, TCS has taken a proactive approach to promote digital literacy and future-ready skills through the Ignite My Future program. This program has made an impact in districts across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Puducherry, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Ladakh, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Rajasthan, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Jharkhand. Districts have witnessed the implementation of the Ignite My Future program. TCS has allocated INR 0.59 Crore to nurture computational thinking and digital skills among students.
