Reflecting its commitment to social responsibility, TCS allocated Rs. 520 crore to the TCS foundation in FY24 for its activities.

MUMBAI (India CSR): The TCS Foundation, a pivotal arm of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited dedicated to implementing the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, has received a funding of Rs. 520 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24.

This amount represents a slight decrease of 4.23%, compared to the Rs. 543 crore provided in the previous fiscal year, which continues to support the foundation’s various programs across education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community development, the annual report revealed.

Despite this reduction, the contribution underscores TCS’s sustained commitment to its CSR initiatives.

The funding is essential for the ongoing operations and expansion of the TCS Foundation’s projects which aim to enhance access to quality education, improve healthcare in underserved areas, promote environmental conservation, and support community development across India. The consistent financial support from TCS ensures that these initiatives can maintain their momentum and expand their reach to benefit more communities in need.

Here is a table analyzing the financial contributions TCS made to the TCS Foundation over the past two fiscal years:

Fiscal YearContribution (in ₹ crore)Change from Previous YearPercentage ChangeImpact
FY23543––Enabled expansion of existing programs and launch of new initiatives
FY24520-23-4.23%Continued support for CSR activities despite a slight decrease in funding

The funding is crucial for driving various social programs across education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community development, reinforcing TCS’s role in fostering societal advancements.
