WEST BOKARO: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Tata Steel West Bokaro Division organized a day long free Mega Health Camp at Utkarmit Madhya Vidyalaya, Banjee, under Mandu block of Ramgarh district.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (West Bokaro), Tata Steel inaugurated the health camp in the presence of Achita Devi, Mukhiya, Barughatu North; Dr B R P Rao, Chief Medical Officer, Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro and Sanak Ghosh, Chief, (Quarry – AB & E), West Bokaro, Tata Steel.
More than 300 patients from Banji and 9 surrounding villages, namely, Fakodih, Duru, Bedwa, Kashmar, Agarwa, Parej, Birhore, Karmatiya and Dudhmatiya availed health services at the day long Mega Health Camp. In the camp, consultation by specialist doctors from Medicine, Paediatric, ENT, Dental and Dermatology disciplines were provided to the patients along with free medicines. Apart from this, on the spot pathological investigations were also undertaken for proper diagnosis.

7 specialist doctors from Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro and TSRDS volunteered their services for the camp. This was the fourth such health camp in Mandu block organised by Tata Steel in this financial year.
Reiterating Tata Steel’s commitment towards the community, Mr Singh said: “Tata Steel is committed towards the well-being of the people residing in its operational areas. The company will continue to serve the community through healthcare interventions like this.”
Senior officials of TSRDS and Tata Steel were also present on the occasion.
