NEW DELHI: Club Enerii, an energy conservation initiative of Tata Power has been ceaselessly working towards creating awareness around the need to be responsible citizens by conserving energy and thus instilling moral and civic values amongst school children. Taking forward this commitment towards sustainability, Tata Power’s Club Enerji students from, Gyaan Mandir Public School, New Delhi, organised an awareness rally on energy conservation.
The objective of this initiative in which over 105 students along with teachers participated, was to communicate to a large audience about the various ways of conserving energy along with encouraging children to become responsible citizens of the society. Through the rally, students of Club Enerji left behind an impression on the minds of more than 1000 onlookers; using a myriad of colourful posters, banners and placards that were prepared by them before the rally.
Anil Sardana, CEO & MD, Tata Power, said that the Club Enerji has been able to become a nation-wide movement because of the dedication and enthusiasm of our young members.
He added, “We had only taken a step towards developing young minds to become aware and accountable for their actions towards mother earth. But over the years, we have come to learn from them and I proud of that.”
“I would like to extend my gratitude to the teachers and students of Gyaan Mandr Public School for their unmatched enthusiasm for this activity.”, he further added.
