JOJABERA: In continuation with its healthcare initiatives for the well-being of its employees and stakeholders, Tata Power, India’s largest integrated private power utility has organized an AIDS awareness sessions at its Jojobera Thermal Power Station and Power House 6 at Jamshedpur from the 1st December to 10th December 2011.
The objective of this initiative is to spread awareness and provide information to combat AIDS and also emphasize on ways and means to prevent this deadly disease. This AIDS Awareness campaign conducted at both Jojobera and Power House 6 covered all employees and stakeholders in and around these plants. These sessions have been spread over a 10 day period and are conducted by specialists and professionals in the field.
Speaking on the occasion, P. L. Manjrekar, General Manager, Jojobera Thermal Power Station, Tata Power, said, “We believe that spreading awareness about such diseases is imperative for the well being of our employees and community will help and benefit our society as a whole. We are proud to start this initiative within our plant among the employees and stakeholders and also hope to reach out to other communities around our plants in the near future”.
