MUMBAI: Tata International Limited, the global trading and distribution company of the Tata group, headquartered in Mumbai, in collaboration with Aseema, an NGO based in Mumbai, recently undertook a sapling plantation drive together with the students of the Gazdar Park Manekji Municipal Secondary English School, Santa Cruz, Mumbai.
The drive was aimed at creating awareness of the Environment Day, while highlighting the importance and role of every young citizen in promoting sustainability. The sapling plantation initiative saw a large participation from secondary students.
Every year, June is observed as the Sustainability month by the Tata group. This year, the Tata Sustainability Month will focus on Sustainable Meaningful Actions for a Responsible Tata (SMART) 21 Challenge, a theme inspired from a popular theory that it takes at least 21 days to form a habit.
