Known for being at the forefront of industry innovation, mCaffeine, India’s first caffeinated personal care brand announces its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Initiative Program to eliminate plastic pollution in India by joining hands with a government certified Central Pollution Control Board recycler institution.

Strengthening its pledge to preserve the planet, This Plastic free July month, mCaffeine promises to ensure that the quality & the quantity of plastic used in its packaging is recycled from the environment.

Successfully achieving 100% zero plastic footprint, it aims to create a plastic free environment for the future generation.

And as the brand recycles more plastic than the actual usage and has earned 76375 plastic credits by offsetting equal kilograms of plastic, it will also annually evaluate its contribution to report upon its consistent endeavors towards reducing plastic pollution in the country.

Believing in ‘being addicted to good’, the brand ensures that its products no longer harm the environment so that the country is addicted to a good environment too. With ethical practices and responsible production, it has always shared a positive environmental imprint since its inception.

Thus, mCaffeine is very well recognized for its recyclable and repurposable product packaging (80% glass material and 20 percent of recyclable plastic material).

Besides, a major share of its revenue has been driven from the products that fall under the 80% glass packaged products category.

With the ESG initiative, the brand’s purpose lies in encouraging collective efforts and engaging its customers and community to contribute in making the planet a clean place for the years to come:

  • mCaffeine website will soon launch an Application Programming Interface which will help the customers contribute to the initiative without much effort and make their order 100 % plastic free.
  • And with this commitment to achieve a zero plastic environment, mCaffeine (for its own team) will swiftly devise a plan to significantly reduce their plastic usage in day-to-day life.

Tarun Sharma, CEO & Co-Founder opines, “As a consumer-first brand, environmental stewardship has always been our top priority, and I am elated to announce that mCaffeine products will now be a plastic-free brand. It is our top goal to find sustainable solutions that empower our communities and individuals, and be a part of a global solution that puts an end to plastic pollution.”

Sharing his purpose of the initiative, he further adds, “Our intention is to lower the impact of plastic in the environment. Our brand has shared a positive imprint since inception, as all our products are delivered in recyclable packaging (with 80 percent glass material and 20 percent of recyclable plastic material). With this ESG initiative, we are closing the loop on our plastic usage by holding ourselves accountable and also offering our community an opportunity to join hands in working towards a clean energy future. We all need to wake up and smell the coffee when it comes to our environmental responsibilities and reducing our imminent carbon footprint so that our future generations can also enjoy a green and beautiful planet.”

mCaffeine is India’s first caffeinated personal care brand, launched in 2016, co-founded by Tarun Sharma and Vikas Lachhwani.

The brand is focused on the millennial lifestyle with mass premium offerings. mCaffeine, a D2C brand, has sold more than 2.5 million products in just 4 years of launch. Currently, the products are available at 18000 pin codes across India. While the brand is still quite young, mCaffeine products are best sellers amongst multiple categories on Amazon and Nykaa.
