THOOTHUKUDI: Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited has bagged “4 Star Rating” in the CII Southern Region Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Awards 2015-16 from the Confederation of Indian Industries in the award ceremony held in Chennai recently.
V Jeyaselvan, Associate Manager, Safety Department, Sterlite Copper received the award from Atul Renavikar, Site Director, Michelin India Private Limited and Chairman, EHS Conference, CII Southern Region, Chennai.
The award was in recognition to the company’s demonstration of best practices and innovation in environment management system.
A total of 114 applicants contended for the CII EHS Award 2015-16 from various manufacturing sectors. The award was conferred only after a rigorous assessment process in understanding the environment, health and safety management systems and units best practices.
