Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan 2024 ODI Tickets: Match Preview

The third ODI between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will be the last match of the tour, which also included two T20Is. Sri Lanka have dominated the series so far, winning both the T20Is and the first two ODIs convincingly. In the second ODI, Sri Lanka posted a massive total of 308 for 6, thanks to a brilliant 97 from Charith Asalanka, who was named the player of the match. Afghanistan were bowled out for 153, with Wanindu Hasaranga taking four wickets. In the first ODI, Sri Lanka scored 381 for 3, with Pathum Nissanka smashing a historic unbeaten 210, the highest individual score by a Sri Lankan in ODIs. Afghanistan put up a spirited chase, but fell short by 42 runs.

Afghanistan will be hoping to salvage some pride and repeat their performance from the 2023 World Cup, when they beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in Pune. They will rely on their spinners, especially Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, to trouble the Sri Lankan batsmen. They will also need their top order, led by captain Asghar Afghan and vice-captain Rahmat Shah, to fire and set up or chase big totals.

The match will start at 2:30 PM local time (9:00 AM GMT) and will be broadcast live on Sony Six and Sony Liv in India, and on SLRC and Dialog TV in Sri Lanka. You can also follow the live score and updates on Cricbuzz and ESPNcricinfo. Don’t miss this exciting encounter between two Asian rivals and book your tickets online or offline today.
