Rajkot (India CSR): Atmiya University, Rajkot entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on 8th April 2022. The MoU marks a multifaceted collaboration between the two organizations, including organizing training and other academic programmes; conducting joint research projects; creating and exchange of knowledge contents; and sharing resources for better learning impact.
Speaking on the occasion, CS Praveen Soni, Central Board Member, ICSI highlighted that the theme areas like Corporate Governance, Entrepreneurship and Family Business and 21st-century skills will be of prime focus during the initial phase of the MoU.
He added that smooth knowledge flow between the theory and practice has become essential for bringing evidence-based improvements in corporate governance. Vice-Chancellor of Atmiya University, Prof. (Dr.) Shiv K. Tripathi shared that this MoU is in line with the National Education Policy 2020. He added that collaborative research and knowledge dissemination would be a priority area because of fast-changing developments in corporate governance practices.
The MoU was signed by Dr. D.D. Vyas, Registrar Atmiya University and CS Praveen Soni, CS Vaibhav Kakkad, Chairman, ICSI Rajkot Chapter, CS Himanshu Togadiya, Secretary, ICSI Rajkot Chapter and other officials joined the ceremony.
From Atmiya University, the signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ghanshyam Acharya, Dean Emeritus, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Vishal Khasgiwala, Dean Faculty of Business and Commerce, and Dr. Ashish Kothari Dy. Registrar and other Senior faculty members.
