Windows are an important part of any building because they let in natural light, air flow, and views of the outside environment. Eventually, window hinges may break, making it hard to close or open the window correctly. Step 4: Grease the hinges

Greasing the hinges will make it easier for the windows to close and open by reducing wear and friction. One easy step can make an enormous impact in how well your windows work over time.

Step 5: Check and make adjustments

After installing and greasing the hinges, check the window once again to ensure that it opens and shuts easily. Watch out for places where the window might be stuck or binding. Change the position of its hinges again if you need to until the window works perfectly. Lastly, make sure the window seals correctly against drafts and fits even with its frame when closed by inspecting it from the inside and outside. If the hinges aren’t lined up right or there are gaps, you may need to add weather-stripping or fix them further.
