MUMBAI: State Bank of India, the country’s largest bank, today launched its annual flagship programme SBI Green Marathon to promote sustainability. Rajnish Kumar, Chairman – SBI along with other senior officials of the bank flagged off the event that witnessed more than 5000 enthusiastic runners.
The Sunday morning in the MMRDA Grounds, BKC observed participants from across the city running 2, 5, 10, 21 Kms marathon, pledging for a greener future. After flagging off the event, Rajnish Kumar also contributed to the Run for Green theme and ran the 2 Km marathon along with other participants.
All the runners were given saplings to promote clean and green city. The runners’ bib consisted of seeds for tree plantation post Marathon.
