NEW DELHI (India CSR): Sber, the largest bank in Russia and Eastern Europe, announced today at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum that it has launched money transfers to India for individuals, and they are already in effect.
According to Kirill Tsarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, this service is aimed at meeting the growing demand for cross-border payments between Russia and India, which are strategic partners in various fields.
Sber now offers money transfers to 11 countries.
The bank plans to add more countries to this list in the future.
Sber is the largest bank in Russia and Eastern Europe, with over 100 million customers and more than 14,000 branches. It offers a wide range of financial products and services for individuals and businesses, including deposits, loans, cards, insurance, investments, digital platforms and ecosystems.
