NEW DELHI (India CSR): The Sashakt Development and Empowerment Foundation (SDEF), the philanthropic arm of Consocia Advisory, has entered into an exclusive partnership with the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), a national-level body functioning under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. Through this partnership, SDEF becomes the exclusive patron of SGFI, formally assuming the role of strategic implementation partner for helping corporations support and elevate sports in India.

Empowering Indian Sports

With this partnership, SDEF and SGFI envision creating scalable, high-impact initiatives that integrate sports into the mainstream development agenda and inspire a new generation of Indian champions. This partnership will allow SDEF to seamlessly incorporate its extensive resource network with the SGFI to support the nurturing of India’s future rising stars.

SGFI’s Expansive Reach

On the other hand, the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) has been foundational in shaping India’s school sports ecosystem, reaching over 1.4 million schools. Through this network, SGFI has been providing international standards to over 1,00,000 state-level champions, including icons like PV Sindhu, Suresh Raina, Yogeshwar Dutt, and Hima Das. Operating through 45 affiliated state and national-level units and supporting 44 disciplines, SGFI also partners with international school sports federations to provide global exposure to emerging Indian talent.

President SGFI Speaks

Deepak Kumar, IAS & President, SGFI, said, “Sports are instrumental in nurturing well-rounded individuals and, in doing so, contribute meaningfully to the social and developmental fabric of the nation. At SGFI, we believe that investing in sports is not just about nurturing talent, but about building a stronger, more resilient India.

Welcoming Strategic Partnership

”Parth Doshi, Chief Executive Officer of the School Games Foundation of India, said, “We are pleased to welcome SDEF as our strategic partner. Their deep operational expertise and access to a vast network of resources will significantly enhance our ability to expand the reach and impact of sports initiatives at every level across the country.”

SDEF Chairman’s Vision

Deepak Jolly, Founder and Chairman of Sashakt Development and Empowerment Foundation, said, “This partnership marks a vital step toward a more inclusive district and state-level sports ecosystem in India. With SDEF’s expertise, we aim to widen access, support young talent, and prepare athletes to compete at the highest levels, like the Olympics.”

Nurturing Future Champions

Dr. Praveen Aggarwal, Founder and Executive Director of Sashakt Development and Empowerment Foundation, said, “We believe in the power of sports to change lives. By joining hands with SGFI, we are taking a step forward in nurturing the physical, emotional, and leadership potential of children from every corner of India. We are committed to enabling access to opportunity — especially for children in remote and underrepresented areas — and to building a pipeline of future champions for India, with the long-term vision of seeing them shine on the Olympic stage.”

Strengthening Sports Ecosystem

Together, this partnership can contribute meaningfully to India’s sports ecosystem and the holistic development of youth across the country. With SDEF as a partner, SGFI will lead focused initiatives to strengthen school-level sports through infrastructure, talent training, and the promotion of international and indigenous disciplines, while prioritizing the health and well-being of India’s youth. The partnership aims to create a supportive ecosystem that empowers young athletes, particularly in underprivileged regions, to realise their full potential.
