HYDERABAD (India CSR): Re Sustainability and Janyu Technologies have entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance safer, smarter, and technology-driven waste management operations in India.
The collaboration brings together Re Sustainability’s three-decade leadership in integrated waste management and Sustainability solutions with Janyu Technologies’ deep-tech, robotics-led solutions, creating a strong foundation to enhance safety, efficiency, and intelligence across regulated waste management operations.
India’s waste management sector, estimated at over USD 20 billion, is expanding rapidly driven by stricter regulatory frameworks, rising compliance requirements, and increasing ESG mandates. This partnership is aimed at accelerating the adoption of automation-led and technology-enabled solutions to address some of the sector’s most complex and high-risk operational challenges.
By leveraging Re Sustainability’s nationwide footprint, regulatory expertise, and execution capabilities across hazardous, bio-medical, and industrial waste streams, alongside Janyu Technologies’ remotely operated robotic systems, the collaboration will focus on enabling safer and more efficient operations in areas such as sludge removal, hazardous waste handling, confined-space cleaning, and other high-risk environmental and industrial activities.
This partnership provides solutions that are purpose-built to operate in hazardous and constrained environments, significantly reducing human exposure while improving operational efficiency, throughput, consistency, and traceability. This combined with Re Sustainability’s scale, operational depth, and strong governance framework, will deliver scalable, safety-first, and cost-efficient waste management models aligned with India’s sustainability and circular economy objectives.
Commenting on the partnership, Masood Mallick, Managing Director & Group CEO, Re Sustainability, said:“Safety, compliance, and operational excellence are fundamental to how Re Sustainability builds and operates environmental infrastructure. This partnership with Janyu Technologies represents a significant step toward integrating advanced robotics into high-risk waste management operations, helping reduce human exposure while improving efficiency, consistency, and traceability. As India’s waste management ecosystem continues to evolve, technology-led collaborations such as this will be critical in setting new benchmarks for responsible and future-ready operations.”
Abhimanyu Raja, Managing Director, Janyu Technologies, added:
“India’s industrial growth must go hand in hand with worker safety, dignity of labour, and strong plant operations. At Janyu Technologies, we develop indigenous, human enabling robotic systems for hazardous tasks such as sludge handling, confined space cleaning, and regulated waste management, so workers can move from unsafe exposure to safer, higher-skill roles .Our robotic equipment also generates operational data that supports AI and predictive analytics, enabling future-ready, productivity-focused maintenance and waste management solutions for clients. Together with Re Sustainability, we aim to strengthen plant operations and environmental management while building safer and more globally competitive industrial infrastructure through Indian innovation.” Together, Re Sustainability and Janyu Technologies are laying the foundation for next-generation, human-safe, and technology-enabled waste and environmental infrastructure, supporting safer workplaces, stronger compliance, and long-term environmental impact.
