NEW DELHI (India CSR): Rashtriya Gaudhan Mahasangh organized a grand “Contemplative Non-Violent Movement” from November 5 to November 10 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, dedicated to advancing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat through the revival of traditional cow-based culture and sustainability. The event was inaugurated in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere by celebrating the Parkash Purb of Sri Satguru Nanak Dev Ji, under the divine guidance and blessings of the present Namdhari Satguru Dalip Singh Ji Maharaj.

The program was presided over by Sushri Jeevan Kaur Ji, daughter of Satguru Dalip Singh Ji Maharaj. Distinguished dignitaries including Chief Minister of Haryana Naib Singh Saini, World President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Alok Kumar, Lok Sabha MP Sushri Bansuri Swaraj, Former MP Sushri Sunita Duggal, Swami Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj, Satish Taneja, and many other notable personalities graced the occasion and extended their support.

Addressing the gathering, Bibi Jeevan Kaur Ji explained the ancient and unbroken cultural significance of the cow in Indian civilization. She stated that the cow has always been revered as a nurturing symbol of compassion, purity, health, and livelihood. This event, organized by Rashtriya Gau-Dhan Sangh in conjunction with the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, sought to restore this sacred sentiment and social responsibility. She emphasized that the cow is revered as ‘Gau Mata’, a universal mother figure, not limited to any single religion. The duty of cow service and cow protection holds honor across all spiritual traditions born in India, including Sanatan Hindu Dharma, Sikh Dharma, Jain Dharma, and Buddhism.

She highlighted the significant contributions of the Sikh Panth, particularly the Namdhari Sikhs, in protecting cow wealth throughout history. Namdhari Sikhs made supreme sacrifices for this cause; many were martyred in Amritsar and Raikot, and in Malerkotla, sixty-six Namdhari Sikhs were executed by cannon fire without trial, while others faced martyrdom by the sword. Bibi Jeevan Kaur Ji also shed light on the legacy of Satguru Ram Singh Ji, who founded the Namdhari Sant Khalsa on Vaisakhi of 1857 for spiritual reform, self-respect, social upliftment, and India’s independence.

Satguru Ram Singh Ji empowered women through Amrit initiation, discouraged dowry, abolished child marriage, promoted inter-caste Anand Karaj, and initiated Non-Cooperation and Swadeshi movements decades before Mahatma Gandhi. His struggle against British rule led to his exile to Rangoon, while Namdhari Sikhs faced confiscation of land, severe punishments, and martyrdom, including executions by drowning with stones tied to their bodies.

During this national event, Namdhari Sikhs also performed Havan Yagya to invoke world peace, ecological balance, and the spirit of universal compassion, dedicating prayers to the protection and welfare of Gau Mata.
