Puribag water is a low-cost, light weight water purification system designed to treat up to 100L of contaminated fresh water, and has been classified by the World Health Organisation as providing Comprehensive Protection. The novel Puribag has the ability to capture, treat and store 10 litres of water at a time in the one unit, with the flexibility to handle high and low turbidity source water.
Puribag eliminates the risk of re-contamination post treatment, and has the unique ability to remove the waste from the bag during the treatment process via separation of the upper and lower bag sections, making the water safe to drink for longer. With the ability to be pre-positioned in high risk areas for years prior to being used, or rapidly deployed following an event, Puribag is the ideal all-in-one water treatment system for providing fast, reliable safe water when people need it the most.

Puribag’s unique process allows high contaminant loads to be handled through its 2-stage settling and purification process making it suitable in most situations. The Puribag uses an ‘in-bag’ 30-minute water treatment process incorporating filter technologies, flocculation/ sorption, and chemical disinfection to meet World Health Organisation (WHO) requirements for safe drinking water.
