NEW DELHI: India CSR Network, India’s largest CSR newswire has awarded Dr. Prof B S Sahay with ‘India CSR Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his outstanding contribution to CSR space. The award was presented at National Summit on Best Practices in CSR: Learning and Future Ahead on 3rd March 2017, organised at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management New Delhi.India CSR Lifetime Achievement Award to Prof BS Sahay

Dr Sahay also delivered his key note address to CSR fraternity attending the summit. He motivated the CSR leaders for their continuous contribution and efforts for the service toward community development in India. He deliberated about required professional qualifications, trainings for professional excellence in the area of emerging CSR ecosystem in the country.

In his keynote address, Prof Sahay congratulated and praised extraordinary efforts being made by Rusen Kumar, who belongs to Raigarh, one of the remotest place of the Chhattisgarh. He said that Rusen Kumar is an excellent example of ‘power of village youth’. A common man with strong conviction can bring a big change in the society. Rusen Kumar, Founder & Editor, India CSR Network along with Anurag Batra, Chairman & Editor in Chief – BW Businessworld honoured him ‘India CSR Lifetime Achievement Award’ in the gracious presence of Ms. Anupam Nidhi, Group Head CSR, Reliance Group; Dr. S.P. Chauhan (Director, Asia-Pacific Institute of Management) and Dr KK Upadhyay (Former Head of FICCI Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence) and Prof Saurabh Mittal (Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi).

While receiving the honour, Prof Sahay said, “I am happy to accept the honour. My humble thanks to India CSR. I believe in the life values of leadership. Giving gives a joy. Culture of giving can transform people and nature where we live. The lifetime achievement award is an acknowledgement of Prof Sahay’s sincere contributions to the areas of corporate responsibility, social and sustainable development, and human resources. India CSR wished him happy and healthy life ahead to carry on with his mission to make positive contributions for the citizens and the country.

Prof Sahay is a dynamic multifaceted academician with hands on experience in research, consultancy and executive training. Prof Sahay has made outstanding and significant contributions as a teacher, writer and board member of national and international journals of repute. He is the Founding Director of Indian Institute of Management, Raipur. His work has taken him to places beyond the country and expanded horizons across the continents. He has led successful assignments in manufacturing, services sector and supply chain management. He has been member of board of governance at various organizations, is a revolutionary thinker in the areas of logistics, operations management and business modeling. ‘India CSR Life Time Achievement Award’ is a recognition to Prof Sahay, a great human being and a personality par excellence!

About Prof BS Sahay Contribution

Professor. Sahay, an educator, researcher and transformational leader who sets high standards to create world class institutes with global outlook and national focus. Prof Sahay is Ph.D., Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, 1995, M.Tech. (Industrial Engineering), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, 1988 and B.Tech. (Production Engineering), BIT Sindri, India, 1983. He Co-authored 6 Books, edited 14 Books. He has presented/published about 190 papers in International/ National Journals and Conferences.

Prof Sahay, the Founding Director of Indian Institute of Management Raipur in Chhattisgarh state, has been Director, Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon and Director, Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad. He was also an Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology, Australia and Founding Chairman of Centre for Supply Chain Management.

He was the Principal Coordinator for Quality Improvement Programme in Management, sponsored by All India council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India.

Prof Sahay serves on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, Business Process Management Journal, Journal of Indian Business Research etc. He was the Founding Editor of International Journal of Value Chain Management and Guest Editor of many international journals.
