NEW DELHI: Laxman Shekhawat  – COO Mines, Hindustan Zinc has been awarded with National Geoscience Award – 2016 by President of India – Pranab Mukherjee on 12th April, 2017 at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.

Also present were Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) for Mines, Coal, Power and New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India – Piyush Goyal, senior govt. officials and mining professionals across India during the award ceremony.

The award constituted by Ministry of Mines recognizes his contribution in the field of Mining Technology for adopting new methods & technology, conservation of mineral resources, systematic mine planning, mine safety, mine fires & hazards, mine reclamation& rehabilitation.
