Pithapuram is emerging as a powerful example of development-driven governance rooted in compassion, accountability, and decisive leadership. Under the visionary guidance of Andhra Pradesh Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Pithapuram MLA Shri Konidela Pawan Kalyan, the constituency has witnessed a series of transformative initiatives across healthcare, livelihood security, education, and cultural revival. These landmark programmes have been effectively conceptualized and implemented on the ground under the committed leadership of Jana Sena Veera Mahila leader and SHE Foundation President, Dr. Burra Divya Raj, ensuring visible and sustainable impact.

Towards a Cancer-Controlled Pithapuram

One of the most defining initiatives is the Mega Cancer Screening and Health Camp, aligned with the Andhra Pradesh Government’s P4 programme. Inspired by Shri Pawan Kalyan’s strong focus on preventive healthcare, the initiative follows the STEP model – Screening, Treatment, Education, and Prevention, aiming to make Pithapuram a cancer-controlled constituency within five years. Addressing the critical issue of late-stage cancer detection, large-scale village-level screenings are being conducted with the support of cancer surgeon Dr. Tarun, GSL and NEO medical institutions, SHE Foundation, and partner NGOs. Shri Pawan Kalyan personally launched the campaign and facilitated a mobile medical unit to ensure continued access to life-saving screenings in rural areas.

Livelihood with Dignity: Jana Jeevana Aadhar Mini Shops

Human dignity stands at the core of the Jana Jeevana Aadhar Mini Shops initiative. Responding to the challenges faced by differently-abled individuals forced into unsafe roadside livelihoods, Shri Pawan Kalyan assured permanent and dignified livelihood solutions. Acting swiftly on his directions, Dr. Burra Divya Raj established permanent Jindal steel mini-shops under the P4 framework. Inaugurated by the Deputy CM under the slogan “One Small Shop – Hope for One Family,” the initiative was fully funded through Dr. Divya Raj’s personal resources, reflecting leadership driven by empathy and action.

Restoring Smiles: Mega Free Dental Health Mission

Marking Shri Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, a Mega Free Dental Health Survey and Treatment Camp was launched in September 2025 and continued for three months. Led by Dr. Burra Divya Raj and Dr. Ganni Bhaskar Rao, with support from GSL–NEO institutions, the mission reached 25,000 households and 35 government schools. Free dental treatment was provided to over 6,000 patients, amounting to nearly ₹2 crore worth of services. Shri Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the mobile dental unit and personally distributed dentures to senior citizens and dental kits to schoolchildren.

Strengthening Medical Education and Leadership

Reaffirming his commitment to healthcare education, Shri Pawan Kalyan attended the RAMCOSA 2026 alumni meet at Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada, as chief guest. He laid the foundation stone for an alumni-funded administrative block and urged medical professionals to serve rural and tribal communities, emphasizing socially responsible medical leadership.

Pongal 2026: Vision for a Model Constituency

During Pongal (Sankranti) 2026, Shri Pawan Kalyan reiterated his vision to develop Pithapuram as a model constituency. He inaugurated and laid foundation stones for ₹211 crore worth of development works, announced plans to establish Pithapuram as a permanent Sankranti cultural hub, discouraged gambling and illegal practices, and unveiled a martial arts training centre while directing officials to prioritise sanitation and public welfare.

A Governance Model Delivering Results

From preventive healthcare and dignified livelihoods to education and cultural revival, these initiatives reflect a governance model where vision meets execution. With the leadership of Shri Pawan Kalyan and the tireless on-ground efforts of Dr. Burra Divya Raj, Pithapuram is fast emerging as one of India’s most progressive Assembly constituencies, demonstrating that meaningful change begins with compassionate leadership backed by decisive action.
