PUNE: Having built and supported over 330 schools till date that will impact the lives of over 6,00,000 children, P&G’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility program P&G Shikshacontinues tomarch forward with the motto ‘Padhega India, Badhega India’.
In its 11th year, P&G Shiksha continues to make the necessary infrastructure interventions by building and supporting schools across the country and thereby giving children access to education. In line with their endeavour, P&G inaugurated a newly built P&G Shiksha School located in Chinchoshi, a small farming village in taluka Khed on the outskirts of Pune and will immediately provide access to education for 120 students in the village.
Also present at the event, was leadership team of Trent Hypermarket Ltd, one of P&G’s Modern Retail partners to show support for P&G Shiksha. The leadership engaged the children with their personal tips for success, and were very impressed with the confidence, intelligence, wit and exuberance demonstrated by the P&G Shiksha children.
Speaking on the occasion, Sairamana Ponugoti, Modern Trade Channel Leader, P&G Indiasaid “We are delighted to inaugurate the P&G Shiksha School in Pune. We firmly believe that education is a basic right of every child and with P&G Shiksha, constantly strive towards facilitating education for underprivileged children and helping them realise their dreams and providing them a better standard of living.
