Oxygen plant installed as part of Wistron WeCare CSR program

KOLAR: Wistron Manufacturing India, as part of the Wistron WeCare CSR Program, donated a new oxygen generator plant at Malur Government Hospital. The high-capacity plant was inaugurated today by KY Nanjegowda, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Malur, in the presence of Dekka Kishore Babu IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kolar.

Also present on the occasion were Hank Hsu, Vice President – Wistron India, Nagaraj M, Managing Director & Senthil Kumar, General Manager of Wistron Infocomm Manufacturing among others.

Pressure Swing Adsorption

As a part of Wistron’s commitment to community social responsibility, we have launched the Wistron WeCare CSR Program to extend support and relief during the pandemic. Under this program, the company has already distributed 1000 face shields and 10000 masks to the district police; handed over 10 oxygen concentrators to various Primary Health Centers and Community Health Centers in the Kolar district; distributed food and ration kits to the poor and marginalized families located around the factory at Narasapura Industrial Area.

As the culmination of the phase-one program, the oxygen generator plant, which is equipped to provide uninterrupted oxygen support to 100 patients at any given time, was inaugurated today. The Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) HENGDA oxygen generator plant has a capacity of 12m3/hr with a purity rate of 93-95%.

Take care of the critical needs

Commenting on the Wistron WeCare CSR initiative’s oxygen generator plant launch, Hank Hsu, Vice President – Wistron India, said, “Wistron continues to be committed to improving healthcare infrastructure in the community where we operate. As part of this commitment, we had embarked on this CSR program to extend support and relief through emergency equipment, health kits, safety materials, and food rations, as per need, to government agencies, frontline workers, the poor, and marginalized. Availability of uninterrupted oxygen supply at hospitals plays a vital role and we are pleased to provide this facility at Malur Government Hospital. Wistron will continue to fight the pandemic along with the local community and extend all support as required.”

High-capacity oxygen generator plant at Malur GH

Nagaraj M, Managing Director, Wistron Infocomm Manufacturing India, said, “During the second wave, it was noticed that some hospitals had a severe shortage of oxygen supply which also resulted in a loss of lives. In close consultation with the district administration, we decided to install this high-capacity oxygen generator plant at Malur GH. We sincerely hope that this facility helps with the much-needed oxygen supply and aids the hospital to take care of the critical needs more comfortably including a possible third wave if it comes. All of us at Wistron would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation once again to all the frontline warriors especially the healthcare workers and the police.”
