NEW DELHI: The Prime Minister of India has nominated ONGC Chairman and Managing Director Dinesh K Sarraf as member of the governing body of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for the three years.
The governing body is the apex body of CSIR for all decision making processes.
CSIR is a scientific R&D think tank set up with a mandate to promote guide and coordinate scientific and industrial research in the country with its 38 R&D laboratories and Institutes. Eminent and learned personalities from various fields are nominated to the governing body as members.
