JHARSUGUDA: Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik on January 28 unveiled the foundation stone of Vedanta Pathology Lab & Diagnostic Centre in presence of Abhijit Pati, Chief Executive Officer – Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda, and members of the senior management Ashok Sonthalia, Chief Finance Officer, Dilip Ranjan Sahoo, Head HR – Aluminium & Power, and Anil Dubey, Head – Commercial.
Abhijit Pati, CEO – Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda, said “We are thankful to the people of Odisha, especially Jharsuguda, and the state govt. for their kind association and unfaltering support. Our journey of a decade in Odisha has been enriching, and we continue to grow stronger and progress together with the community. The Vedanta Pathology Lab & Diagnostic Centre is our humble dedication to the people of the region.”
The Vedanta Pathology Lab & Diagnostic Centre is one of its kind in the region intended to be an advanced state of the art multispecialty facility, with the nodal lab in Jharsuguda and focal lab in Laikera. It is Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda’s CSR outreach aimed at facilitating the region’s citizenry’s access to specialized services like Radiology, Mammography, ECG/PFT/TMT, Vision, X-Ray, Dental, Audiometry, Gynecology and Pharmacy.
The Centre is an upcoming flagship CSR project in ‘Health & Sanitation’ that endeavors to address the need of specialized diagnostic services within reach, and has been welcomed by the general public. As per the RPDAC recommendation and proceeding, the total cost of the project will be to the tune of Rs. 20 crores.
