New Delhi: On the occasion of Women’s Day, Nupur Recyclers, a pioneer in metal scrap processing and recycling, is creating a thriving work environment for rural women in India. The company’s goal is to improve the livelihoods of the women who have long contributed to the growth of this industry. Nupur Recyclers aims to give these blue-collar women workers a chance to build a livelihood while also preparing them for future employment opportunities.
Because the theme of this year’s Women’s Day is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow,” Nupur Recyclers has introduced a soft skills training programme to help women feel more self-sufficient and independent. Women face a slew of social barriers to employment, including deeply held beliefs about what women can and cannot do. As more women enter this and other similar fields of work, the industry is poised for change. Nupur Recyclers encourages and empowers women to work in the metal scrapping industry in order to #BreaktheBias.
Speaking on Women Empowerment, Mr Rajesh Gupta, Founder, Nupur Recyclers said – “Nupur Recyclers is doing everything it can to help women achieve economic independence. We are attempting to dispel the notion that factory work is only suitable for men. We hope that any woman who chooses to work in this industry sees these prospects as opportunities for a long and fruitful career. So far, we’ve discovered that rural women require a strong push, and then they will do wonders. We recognise their efforts and train them through various programmes such as POSH training and other initiatives focused on waste management, recycling, and maximising value. Nupur Recyclers will continue to empower women in whichever way they can.”
The company conducted mandatory PoSH training sessions for employees as well so that they understand the consequences of sexual misconduct. This will help in creating a more secure and friendly environment for everyone at the workplace. The company has successfully given out various sessions on a regular interval of time and are looking forward to enhancing the engagement rate and awareness to the company employees. As a token of gratitude, the company also gifted Sarees to its women employees.
