NTPC Farakka Conducts Exemplar CSR Initiatives on 47th Raising Day. Utkarsh Scholarship Award Ceremony 2020.
Farakka, West Bengal: NTPC Farakka has always been in the front row for social development initiatives, enriching the lives of rural communities around the power plant. On the occasion of the 47th Raising Day Ceremony, Farakka station conducted exemplar CSR activities, starting the good work on the Foundation Day itself.
The CSR event started with Chief Guest Sanjeev Kumar, GGM Farakka, and Maya Singh, President of Udita Ladies Club, distributing tricycles to people with disabilities. This initiative and has been a successful endeavor in NTPC Farakka’s books for many years with more than 50 tricycles distributed every year.
On this glorious occasion, NTPC Farakka organized the Utkarsh Scholarship Award Ceremony 2020. Utkarsh scholarships are awarded to meritorious students of classes 10th, 12th, and those succeeding in JEE and NEET entrance exams.
The scholarship aims to encourage those students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, to achieve greater heights in academic fields.
Silai Training Camp at NTPC Farakka
To promote economic independence and skill development in rural women, Chief Guests Sanjeev Kumar and Maya Singh inaugurated the Kantha Silai Training Camp at NTPC Farakka. The 55 days training is organized by the CSR team and Udita Ladies Club to empower the women of local communities.
