Despite being a highly successful Industrialist, he has not forgotten his social responsibilities. He considers it his prime duty to give back to society and always strives to do as much as possible to develop society to support people.

Some of his efforts are as follows:

Initiated by UNO MINDA in 2012, Samarth-Jyoti is a CSR welfare program spearheaded by Shadi Lal Minda Charitable Trust (SLMCT).

This trust is under the able guidance of Nirmal Kumar Minda and Mrs. Suman Minda.

Minda Bal Gram, an orphanage that supports more than 70 destitute children (age 3-13), provides them free education, shelter, food and medical facilities. Regular initiatives and efforts are undertaken to upgrade the training and teaching facilities for these children, ensuring that they are offered opportunities to grow and be independent.

Minda Vidya Niketan, a primary school has been specially set up by the trust to provide education to the children of Minda Bal Gram up to the 5th standard. In addition, it also provides education to the poor and needy children from around the orphanage, free of cost.

In neighborhood areas, many villages are being adopted for regular development programs. Many people from these villages are called into Minda plants and factories to provide them training on latest machines and equipments. They are exposed to a friendly working atmosphere and at the same time they are equipped with professional skills that equip them for a bright future.

In Minda’s Pant agar plant, a socially active program was initiated called “Training the Trainer”. Under this program, around 150 local ladies were given professional training and given an opportunity to work with N.K. Minda Group Nirmal Minda is also a very active member in various other Social Trusts and Organizations such as:

• Jan Kalyan Charitable Trust
• Ishkam Sewa Trust
• Sundar Lal Jain charitable trust
• Agroha Vikas Trust and many others.
