This partnership helps empower students with skills, confidence, and a mindset shift toward innovation
MUMBAI (India CSR): A transformative shift in entrepreneurial thinking is sweeping across Mumbai’s youth, thanks to Salaam Bombay Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme which aims to transform resource-challenged adolescents from job-seekers into job-creators, helping them launch sustainable businesses. The Entrepreneurship Incubator which was launched by Salaam Bombay Foundation in 2021, has partnered with ENpower to help students with hands-on training in business model canvassing and the art of pitching their business to potential clients and seed funders. The workshops have helped students move from “I want to earn” to “I can create value” within just a few hours — a powerful mindset change redefining how young people perceive their own potential.
The current four-week programme is impacting 25 students aged 15–22 from various parts of Mumbai. Conducted at the Salaam Bombay Foundation’s learning centres, this initiative follows two previous successful cohorts that impacted 49 and 40 students respectively — bringing the total number of beneficiaries to over 100 youth so far.
Built on ENpower’s “learning by doing” philosophy, students began working on their own business ideas from day one. Instead of classroom theory, they interacted with real customers, refined their offerings, and built basic prototypes. This hands-on approach gave them the confidence and skills to turn ideas into action.

By the second weekend, participants were already prototyping, testing ideas, and collecting feedback from actual users. These rapid learning and validation cycles helped students realize — “Yes, I can do this.” The immediate sense of achievement proved to be highly motivating and empowering.
Sushil Mungekar, Founder & CEO of ENpower, shared “True social change happens when young people from every background have equal opportunities to discover their potential. Entrepreneurial education is not philanthropy — it’s empowerment through capability.”For resource-challenged youth, this programme opened doors to self-reliance, confidence, and dignity — creating a ripple effect of social impact.

Gaurav Arora, Chief Growth Officer, Salaam Bombay Foundation, shares, “Through Salaam Bombay Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme, we help resource-challenged adolescents see themselves as job-creators, not just job-seekers. This is creating a powerful shift in how they view their own potential. Our partnership with ENpower strengthens this mission by giving students the practical skills and confidence to turn ideas into real opportunities and break the cycle that limits their aspirations.”
Buoyed by the success of the Mumbai edition, ENpower is now gearing up to launch a two-day Fast-Track Entrepreneurship Programme in Pune as part of Salaam Bombay Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme’. The long-term vision is to make entrepreneurial education accessible to every young mind in India, regardless of background or geography — building a generation that doesn’t just seek jobs but creates them.
Programme Highlights:
• Name: Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme
• Duration: September – October 2025 (Six weekends)
• Venue: Salaam Bombay Foundation Learning Centres, Mumbai
• Participants: 49 (first cohort) + 40 (second cohort) + 25 (current ongoing batch)
