BENGALURU: Lowe’s India, has donated Rs 6 lakhs to Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled in 2017-18 as part of its ongoing commitment to serving communities in India.
The donation will support 100 disabled youth across their three centers towards procuring digital tablets.
Samarthanam Trust’s Learning Resource Center has currently been functioning in HSR layout since 2007 and each center trains over 55-60 candidates (including visually and other disabled candidates) on a quarterly basis to be optimally functional in their work places.

Most of these youths who are trained at the center do not have access to mobile technology because of their financial status and have never handled a smartphone in their lives.
Lowe’s India’s focuses on housing, education and environment as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. It has partnered with Samarthanam for employee volunteerism activities.
