BARBIL/BHUBANESWAR: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL)’s Barbil unit has installed HT and LT power line, equipped with One of 25KVA S/S (11/0.4 KV) transformer, to electrify Gate Sahi in Deojhar GP of Keonjhar District.
The Electrification work, has been inaugurated by by G Suresha, EVP & Unit Head JSPL-Barbil in presence of Mangal Munda, Sarpanch, Deojhar GP & other dignitaries.
The Electrification work will benefit about 200 people of the village, dominated by Tribal Families, “We are happy to mention that now our children will get enough time for their study in the evening & we thank JSPL, Barbil for supporting us getting the facility” said Mrs. Kadambini Naik, resident of Deojhar, on the occasion.
Addressing a gathering of villagers Mr. G Suresha, EVP & Unit Head said, “At JSPL, we believe in growing with the community and improving quality of life of people in our periphery areas. This electrification work will definitely enhance living conditions of people in Deojhar village”. On the occasion an awareness session on safe and proper use of electricity was organised for the villagers.
The Transformer along with associate HT and LT line has been installed under 6% supervision scheme of NESCO with an expenditure of about Rs. 8.5 Lakh. The Facility, after energisation, has been handed over to NESCO for maintenance and supply power directly to the houses where electric meter has been provided as per NESCO norms.
Pursuing its CSR mission in improving the quality of life of local community, JSPL has also installed two 25 KVA (11 KV/0.430 KV) and one 63 KVA (11 KV / 0.43KV) substation along with HT Power line of 2.8 KM and LT Power Line of 3.6 KM in Karan Sahi, Rupasahi and Gomasahi of Beleipada Village, which has illuminated 250 rural households and have enabled more than 1000 villagers to have access to domestic supply of electricity.
Senior officials of JSPL present on the occasion were R.K. Mohanty, AVP (E&I), B.B. Pradhan, AVP (HR), Sunil Pattnaik, DGM (E&I)& S.S. Pattnaik, AGM (HR).
The officials contributed relentlessly to make the facility available for the community are Vargil Lakra, AGM (CSR), Pradeep V. AGM (E&I), Sudesh Karua, Manager (HR) and the members of team CSR.
