ANGUL (Odisha): Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) celebrated the World Quality Day today at its Angul plant premises. The Chief Operating Officer of JSPL’s Odisha Business, Pankaj Gautam, Iron Making Head Damodar Mittal, Management Representative Khilawan R. Sahu, lighted the divine lamp of the function in presence of other department heads and employees.
Attending the program Pankaj Gautam, said “the World Quality Day, gives us an opportunity to celebrate our quality achievements and commitment to improve our performance every day”.
On this occasion Hundreds of employees showcased their quality innovations and ideas to improve performance and products.
Damodar Mittal advised the young engineers that now the world needs qualitative work and every single improvement in quality of your performance matters a lot not only for your company but also for the society as a whole.
To promote the qualitative skills among its employees, the Total Quality Management (TQM) department had conducted several competitions like Quality Quiz, Debate, Speech, Logo & Poster Design, Slogan, Essay,etc. and the successful winners of various competitions were awarded at the function.
The celebration witnessed splendid Odissi dance performance by the student of O.P. Jindal School followed by a Skit based on quality theme presented by young engineers.
