New Delhi:The IIMC Alumni Association announced winners of the 4th IFFCO IIMCAA Awards during the annual alumni meet– Connections 2020, held at IIMC HQ in New Delhi.
Awards were given in various categories including 11 in Reporting, 12 in Desk Production, 7 awards in Advertising, PR & Communications and 1 in media research.
Priyamvada Rana and Pratyush Deep Kotoky were jointly awarded the highest winning amount of INR 51,000 for Agricultural reporting while other winners received the winning amount of INR 21,000 each.
Young journalist Somesh Jha was declared alumni of the year while Chennai based lake restoration activist Arun Krishnamurthy got public service award.
17 Delhi students got IIMCAA Scholarships of 25000 INR each while 10 other campus students will be given it in chapter meets.
Anurajan Jha, Senior Journalist and Jury Member of the Award said, “IIMCAA is rapidly moving towards meeting its objectives through awards, scholarships and medical funds. Last year we gave scholarships to 11 students, this year this number has reached twenty seven. The honor of Rs 51 thousand given by IIMCAA Agriculture and Developmental reporting has been marginalized in this era raises hope”
