Jindal Steel & Power Celebrates World Environment Day 2023 with Tree Plantation Drives and Awareness Programs
Joda/Barbil: Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) commemorated World Environment Day 2023 on June 5 at its Barbil Pellet Plant, Tensa, and Kasia Mines, joining the global theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution.’
The company organized tree plantation drives, awareness rallies, and drawing & essay competitions for colony children across the units. Unit Heads, executives, employees, and their families actively participated in the events, led by the EMD and Horticulture Departments.
JSP Foundation, the social arm of JSP, also conducted awareness programs in nearby villages, garnering support from local communities, schools, and elected representatives.
Chairman Naveen Jindal emphasized the importance of nurturing the planet, while the Chairperson of JSP Foundation, Shallu Jindal, urged protection against plastics and emphasized the foundation’s commitment to eco-restoration aligned with sustainable development goals.
