NEW DELHI: Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments announces the launch of its new interactive Facebook application called ‘Smart Citizen’ that will educate its audiences in the country on conserving natural resources in their day to day living. The ‘Smart Citizen’ App allows people to enroll themselves in an engaging activity on energy conservation while providing insights on various sources of clean energy and their conservation.
The contest, that is open to all Facebook users in India, showcases various scenarios for optimizing energy consumption including at home, in office or while traveling. Commencing on July 03, 2013, this contest has garnered the interest of over 25,000 individuals already and targets to reach the entire universe in future!
The challenge is to optimize the energy within the least possible time. The winner of the contest stands a chance to win a brand new interactive Air Conditioner from Trane, a brand of Ingersoll Rand that offers residential solutions. Results will be announced on August 18, 2013.
Ingersoll Rand has launched this contest as part of its Social Convergence initiative. Through this platform, Ingersoll Rand seeks to make its audiences realize the need to judiciously use energy in today’s world by allowing them to participate and learn more about the various sources of clean energy and their potential benefits.
Through the launch of this innovative app on a social media channel, Ingersoll Rand aims to spread this message amongst a wide network of audience especially focusing on the youth of today.
