NCCSR 2025 aims to leverage CSR excellence for tribal empowerment, bringing together government, industry, and civil society for sustainable development
NEW DELHI (India CSR): The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, is set to host the 2nd National Conference and Exhibition on Corporate Social Responsibility (NCCSR 2025) on 6–7 October 2025 in New Delhi. The conference, themed “Leveraging CSR Excellence for Tribal Development,” will serve as a premier national platform to promote collaboration, dialogue, and innovation in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Organised through IICA’s School of Business Environment in partnership with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), and the Department of Public Enterprises, NCCSR 2025 seeks to align India’s CSR movement with the nation’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, focusing on sustainable tribal development.

A Platform for National CSR Dialogue and Innovation
The two-day conference will bring together senior government officials, industry leaders, CSR practitioners, and development experts to discuss strategies for integrating CSR into India’s inclusive growth agenda.
The event will be graced by distinguished dignitaries including the Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport & Highways, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Secretaries from the Ministries of Corporate Affairs, Tribal Affairs, and DoNER, Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises, and the UN Resident Coordinator for India.
The conference is being held under the patronage of Shri Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh, Director General & CEO of IICA, and under the direct leadership of Dr. Garima Dadhich, Head, School of Business Environment, IICA.
Rooted in Gandhian Philosophy of Responsible Business
The NCCSR 2025 is an extension of IICA’s annual observance of CSR Day on 2 October, commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of trusteeship and ethical business conduct. This tradition reinforces the Gandhian philosophy that corporations have a moral responsibility to serve society beyond profit-making.
By celebrating CSR Day in close alignment with Gandhi Jayanti, IICA emphasizes its vision of creating a responsible, equitable, and inclusive business ecosystem, ensuring that corporate actions contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
Key Focus: Tribal Development Through CSR Excellence
With the theme “Leveraging CSR Excellence for Tribal Development,” the conference aims to spotlight CSR interventions that uplift tribal communities through sustainable livelihood programs, healthcare, education, skill development, and digital inclusion.
NCCSR 2025 seeks to create a convergence of corporate strategies, government initiatives, and indigenous knowledge systems to accelerate tribal-led development. The dialogue will also explore ways to replicate and scale successful CSR models across India’s tribal regions, ensuring measurable and lasting social impact.
Event Highlights: Six Expert Panels, Innovation Lab, and Exhibition
The conference will host six high-level expert panel discussions on critical CSR themes, including:
- Corporate–Government partnerships for tribal welfare
- Technology-driven social innovation
- Measuring CSR impact and sustainability outcomes
- Integrating ESG and CSR frameworks
- Promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance in tribal regions
- Strengthening accountability and transparency in CSR reporting
A live Social Innovation Lab will feature interactive demonstrations of community-driven solutions, while a tribal cultural showcase will celebrate the rich heritage of India’s tribal communities.
In addition, the event will host a CSR exhibition with over 30–35 stalls, featuring leading organisations such as TRIFED, HCL Foundation, UNICEF, IOCL, GAIL, SPARK MINDA, Partners In Change, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. These participants will present their flagship CSR initiatives and share best practices that have created meaningful social transformation.
Launch of National Compendium on CSR Best Practices
One of the key highlights of NCCSR 2025 will be the release of the National Compendium on CSR Best Practices, a publication recognizing exemplary CSR projects and innovative impact models implemented by Indian corporates and public sector enterprises.
This compendium will serve as a knowledge resource for policymakers, CSR professionals, and academicians to understand the evolving CSR landscape and draw inspiration from success stories that have effectively addressed India’s developmental challenges.
Building a Roadmap for Viksit Bharat @2047
NCCSR 2025 is not just a conference—it’s a national movement for inclusive and sustainable growth. The event’s collaborative framework encourages cross-sectoral partnerships among businesses, government departments, non-profits, and academic institutions.
By attending the conference, participants will gain opportunities to network, share transformative CSR models, and contribute to shaping India’s national CSR policy direction. The focus on tribal empowerment aligns with the country’s larger goal of building a self-reliant, inclusive, and equitable India by 2047.
