1,254 Dealer Workshops to promote Car Dry wash for 45 days from June 5, 2017, Hyundai to donate saved water to drought affected areas in India and free Saplings for Customers on June 5

NEW DELHI: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second largest car manufacturer and largest passenger car exporter launches Save Water campaign by promoting Dry wash on the occasion of World Environment Day.
The 45 day long campaign “Save Water” in association with Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) will start from June 5 till 19 July 2017 at 1,254 Hyundai Dealer workshops across India.
Hyundai being a caring & responsible corporate, promotes Dry Wash for cars with the aim of saving 120 liters of water per car. Post conclusion of the campaign, Hyundai will donate the same amount of water to the drought affected areas in India.
Commenting on the initiative Rakesh Srivastava, Director, Sales & Marketing, HMIL, said, “Being a socially responsible & environmentally conscious manufacturer, Hyundai believes in the philosophy of preserving the environment and its resources for a better future. As a part of our CSR activations, we regularly engage in environment friendly initiatives to create strong awareness among the communities. On World Environment Day, we pledge our sensitivity towards the environment and this campaign is one such”.
A series of environmentally friendly activities would be conducted across all Hyundai Dealer workshops to engage and create awareness among customers. Besides promoting ‘Dry Wash’ for customer cars, Hyundai Dealers would be using environment-friendly water based automotive paints and also encourage their valued customers to plant more trees.
