The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that hundreds of schools, which were closed for years in the Naxal-affected areas, have been restarted.

By winning the trust of the people, they are being provided the benefits of various government schemes. The main focus is on education, health and increasing the income of the people in Chhattisgarh

The Chief Minister said that hundreds of schools, which were closed for years in the Naxal-affected areas, have been restarted.

On October 3, 2021, Baghel was addressing a private news channel’s program 12 Hour Swasthya Bharat Sampann Bharat Telethon, virtually from Bemetara district headquarters. The Chief Minister said that the policies and programs of the State Government are bringing a big change in the lives of the people of Naxal-affected areas.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that the state government is working by adopting the policy of development, trust and security in the Naxal affected areas. He said that along with education, health and employment, various public welfare programs are being effectively implemented in these areas. Due to this, people are getting disillusioned with Naxalites.

Naxal activities have now been reduced in Chhattisgarh. This is evident from the changes taking place in the lives of people in these areas.

Interaction with Amitabh Bachchan

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, in response to a query by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, said that doctors and staff have been appointed to strengthen health facilities in the Naxal-affected areas. Mukhyamantri Haat Bazar Clinic Yojna was started from the Dantewada district, this scheme is operated in all the districts of the state. He said that we started working on the strategy of development, trust and security in these areas.

This made the government accessible to the general public. While implementing this policy, we are working towards providing health, education, employment, a universal public distribution system and electricity from solar energy to the people.

Mega change in lives of the people of Naxal-affected areas

The Chief Minister said that the policies and programs of the State Government are bringing a big change in the lives of the people of Naxal-affected areas.

Till December 2018, in Bijapur, where a couple of tractors were sold in a year, today this figure has crossed 400. At the same time, the sales number of motorcycles has increased from an average of 15-16 to 5000. Forest rights are being given to the people in these areas by effective implementation of the Forest Rights Act.

The Chief Minister said that hundreds of schools, which were closed for years in the Naxal-affected areas, have been restarted. Now, study and teaching are going smoothly in the schools of the Naxalite area of ​​Jagargunda also.

By organizing a camp in Silger village of Bijapur, three thousand people were provided Aadhar cards, job cards. He said that Naxal activities have now been confined to Bijapur and Narayanpur.

Malaria Free Campaign

In the program, the Chief Minister informed that on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, necessary resources were made available in all the hospitals of Bastar zone to strengthen the health facilities. In these areas, people definitely go to the Haat Bazaar once a week, so we also arranged for the medical treatment of the people in the Haat Bazaarsand launched Malaria Free Campaign.

Mobile Medical Unit and Dai Didi Clinic

During this campaign, blood tests of 14 lakh people were done for malaria. Today, malaria cases in these areas have come down from 40 percent to 4-5 percent. Apart from this, health facilities are also being provided through Mobile Medical Unit and Dai Didi Clinic. He said that both these schemes are very popular. Dai-Didi Clinic is currently operating in Raipur, Bilaspur and Bhilai Corporation areas. Soon it will be expanded to the entire state.

NITI Aayog appreciation

The Chief Minister said that recently the NITI Aayog has appreciated the malnutrition-free campaign in the Naxal-affected areas. In the state 37.8 percent of children were suffering from malnutrition and 41.5 percent of women were suffering from anemia, so Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan is being run to provide hot food to the people in the state.

There has been a significant reduction in the incidence of malnutrition in the last year. Similarly, the initiative to make people aware of cleanliness and health is showing fruitful results.
