Hindustan Zinc’s Rampura Agucha, Sindesar Khurd, and Kayad Mines are among the most advanced mines in India. Rampura Agucha is the world’s largest underground zinc mine, equipped with remote operated drilling and loading along with real-time monitoring systems. Sindesar Khurd, one among the world’s top 5 silver producing mines, uses high-efficiency mining and automated haulage systems. From deploying India’s first tele-remote loaders and shift-hour automated drilling to integrating AI-driven maintenance and robotics in smelting, the company is transforming its operations for greater safety, efficiency, and precision. Upcoming innovations like LiDAR-enabled drone mapping will further strengthen its position as a digitally enabled, future-ready miner.

Beyond its operations, Hindustan Zinc plays a critical role in restoring and protecting ecosystems. The company has undertaken significant biodiversity projects, including Miyawaki plantations, wetland restorations, and the recent MoU with Rajasthan Forest Department to develop India’s first Crocodile Conservation Reserve in Udaipur, Rajasthan. These initiatives reflect a nature-positive approach grounded in science and community partnership.
