MUMBAI (India CSR): Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) said that it has merged its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee to form a unified body — the CSR-ESG Committee — effective October 24, 2025, In a regulatory filing, the company said.
The newly formed CSR-ESG Committee will be chaired by Tarun Bajaj, Non-Executive Independent Director, with Neelam Dhawan and Ranjay Gulati, both Non-Executive Independent Directors, as members.
This integration reflects HUL’s commitment to cohesive governance across its environmental, social and ethical dimensions, enabling more effective monitoring, transparency, and accountability.
In FY24-25, HUL has spent Rs. 254 crores on CSR activities.
The unified committee will oversee all sustainability initiatives, disclosures, and compliance requirements, driving progress toward HUL’s long-term ESG goals.
The current merger, it added, is intended to simplify decision-making and integrate sustainability governance under one cohesive framework.
The FMCG major, which recently reported ad spends rising to Rs. 1,661 crore in Q2 FY26, continues to embed sustainability principles across its business operations.
