Godrej Industries and Associate Companies celebrated Women by gifting them a bouquet of initiatives

Mumbai: Godrej Industries and Associate Companies celebrated International Women’s Day today through various women-centric initiatives. Godrej Industries and Associate Companies have six core businesses viz. FMCG, Real Estate, Agri, Housing Finance, Chemicals and Dairy.

Each of these verticals had planned unique initiatives to honour Women like:

Godrej Industries Limited (GIL Chemicals)

To commemorate International Women’s Day this year, the team of GIL Chemicals launched a Women Employee Resource Group Network (WERG) called ‘Chemicals Network of Women (C NOW)’ to support and enable women employees in different capacities at work. A Leadership address dedicated to all women employees and a talk from guest speaker – Mr. H Kannan, ex Senior Director PepsiCo and an active Diversity Consultant with Avtar Consulting Firm, was organised. The team had factored in Inclusion while celebrating Women Diversity, running a campaign based on the International theme #BreakTheBias which is open to all employees and was featured on their LinkedIn page.

Godrej Properties Limited (GPL)

Godrej Properties, the real estate arm of the Godrej Group, planned an exciting virtual event called “Phenomenal Women”. “Phenomenal Women” is a platform for women to celebrate their diversity and to inspire them to dream bigger. Prominent women achievers from all walks of shared insights from their journeys on different aspects of women in the workplace. From an entrepreneur leading a unicorn to corporate leaders in male-dominated fields, the speakers debunked gender-based myths, decoded motherhood and the career-woman, and talked about acing high-impact careers in an unequal world.

Godrej Housing Finance (GHF)

Week Long Celebrations included a Women ERG Launch, the first ever ERG for Godrej Housing Finance is aimed at fostering inclusion, catering to the specific mentoring needs of the cohort, and creating spaces for safe conversations. A fireside chat with Ms. Usha Sangwan (former MD of LIC India and Independent Director on the Board of GHF), Pirojsha Godrej and Manish Shah, featuring a candid conversation with Godrej women leaders trailblazing in their respective careers, a workshop on ‘Connection between Women’s Health and the Menstrual Cycle’ by the founder of Inaari, and RefHer Campaign, encouraging more women candidate referrals against the open positions since as we are expanding our business both in terms of scope and geographic footprint. Swag Bags sent to all women employees. GHF is dedicating the entire Month of March to campaigns internally and on LinkedIn – wherein Women at GHF share their perspectives on work life balance, best piece of professional advice received, what Women’s Day means to them and what would be something that they do to help boost their productivity

Creamline Dairy Private Limited (CDPL)

Godrej Jersey had partnered with Hybiz TV to host a tea making competition in Hyderabad on 6th March, 2022. This competition, the First of its kind in Hyderabad, was exclusively for the women of Hyderabad and carried a 1st Prize of Rs. 1 lakh, 2nd Prize of Rs. 50,000/- and third prize of 25,000/-. 600 + applications were received and the top 100 participants (based on views on YouTube, Insta etc.) competed. Winners were announced on Women’s Day.

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL)

goodnessme, a premium range of certified products made from organic ingredients and zero toxins for sensitive baby skin, will bring stories of woman who inspire, breaking boundaries, believing in themselves and fighting against all odds. These lesser-known women will be featured on social media assets of goodnessme. Additionally, the brand will also engage celebrity influencers like Shweta Mehta, Ekta Jain, Rakshanda Khan Tyagi, Ashita Dhawan, Esha Deol, Tannaz Irani, among others.

Godrej Professional, a professional brand with products across hair colour, care, styling and keratin, ran a digital contest #StrongerBonds where the brand asked consumers to tag someone who they have a strong bond with and think they deserve a little bit of pampering and a hair makeover this woman’s day

Godrej L’Affaire, an owned media lifestyle platform, ran a campaign #WooMeNot to celebrate the women who break stereotypes and do things their way. The focus was on women who are doing great work in various fields, while absolutely acing it and having fun too and showcased changemakers like Masaba Gupta, Kalki Koechlin and Upasana Taku, hair experts and stylists, models and actresses, influencers like Tanvi and Shreeja Chaturvedi, as well as brands like Blume, Fae Beauty, Kulfi Beauty. The campaign put the spotlight on those who act as inspirations for the next generation of women performers and leaders.

A micro site was launched to allow people to download personalized compliment cards and share those with the special women in their lives.The #WooMeNot campaign was conceptualised and executed with the help of our digital agency AGENCY09.

The Godrej Masterbrand launched a powerful digital campaign #UsForHer. The campaign is all about men calling out the inequality that has been happening, and the change they promise to bring about and urging the society to be #UsForHer
