India CSR organised the 10th India CSR Awards. The awards were presented during the 12th India CSR Leadership Summit held at Bengaluru on December 10, 2021.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Niti Aayog Chairman Dr. Rajiv Kumar honoured organisations and leaders for their remarkable contribution to society.
Skill development initiatives of FUEL (Friends Union for Energizing Lives) have been honoured with the ‘India CSR Project of the Decade” at 10th India CSR Awards.
Ketan Deshpande, Founder & CEO FUEL received the award from Basavaraj Bommai, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka and Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, Niti Aayog, in the presence of Mrs. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Chairperson Biocon; Prashanth Prakash, Partner Accel and Advisor (Policy & Strategy) to the CM of Karnataka; Rusen Kumar, Founder of India CSR and Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Karnataka.
FUEL trains the youngsters in advanced skills like Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, and so on. FUEL, since the last decade, has impacted more than a million beneficiaries throughout India. It is headed by Ketan Deshpande and mentored by Santosh Huralikoppi. FUEL is into value-based education and skill development of the youth from the marginalised sector across India.
Dr. Ashwath Narayan CN, Minister of Science and Technology, Higher Education, IT, BT, Govt. of Karnataka and Padma Shri Mohan Das Pai, Chairman Manipal Global Education delivered a keynote address at 12th India CSR Leadership Summit. Prashanth Prakash, Partner Accel and Advisor (Policy & Strategy) delivered a welcome address and highlighted how Innovation & Entrepreneurship can solve the key socio-economic issues of the society at large.
The theme for this year’s summit was Resurgent India – Leapfrogging Development through Innovation & Entrepreneurship. “The CSR flagship forum aimed at deliberating on ways to leverage entrepreneurship and innovation to solve critical issues in Health, Education, Livelihoods and Environment space to make a Resurgent India.”, Rusen Kumar
“We are thankful to India CSR for this great recognition to FUEL. We have an objective to set up FUEL Skill tech and Entrepreneurship University for disadvantaged youth”, said Ketan Deshpande, Founder & CEO of FUEL.
FUEL was established in 2007 working in the fields of Skill Development, Career Counseling, and scholarships for disadvantaged youth of the nation under the CSR initiative of various leading corporate.
Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor, India CSR said, “FUEL – Friends Union for Energising Lives is a credible non-profit organization. FUEL has trained over 88000 needy youth in futuristic skills & has guided 11 lakh students across India. I appreciate and congratulate Ketan Deshpande and mentor Santosh Huralikoppi for playing a key role in skilling youth.”
FUEL has received appreciation from the Hon’ble Prime Minister as “Champions of Change” and Hon’ble President of India for its commendable work over the years.
