NEW DELHI: As a part of initiative – Global Caring Month in India, Ford organized a tree plantation drive in Gurgaon today. Anurag Mehrotra, President and MD, Ford India participated in the activity.
“During the month, volunteers from 14,000 workforces of Ford will engage in over 47 projects addressing education, auto safety, environmental sustainability and humanitarian support.”, statement said.
“Aimed at spreading awareness about environment conservation, close to 50 Ford volunteers planted 40 trees inside Swarn Jayanti Nature Park.”, it added.
Global Caring Month is the annual signature event of the Ford Volunteer Corps. Since its launch in 2005, Ford Volunteer Corps members have contributed more than one million hours of community service in 48 countries, representing $29 million of in-kind community investments.
