NEW DELH (India CSR): Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of national carrier Malaysia Airlines, said it has partned with CHOOOSE, a Norway-based climate tech company, to develop a climate software solution to support MAG’s commitment to reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 in line with the MAG Sustainability Blueprint.
Transparency and Education for Customers
Malaysia Airlines’ customers will have access to information on the carbon emissions associated with their flights through the CHOOOSE-powered solution. This transparency will enable customers to make informed decisions regarding the carbon impact of their travel.
Offsetting Carbon Emissions and Supporting Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Malaysia Airlines’ customers can offset their carbon emissions by purchasing verified carbon offsets in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, the partnership will expand to include the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Tools for Corporate Customers
Corporate customers will be provided with tools to estimate and offset greenhouse gas emissions associated with employee travel. This feature will allow them to voluntarily offset these emissions and report on their climate action.

Group Chief Sustainability Officer of MAG, Philip See, expressed the company’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and rallying customer participation towards this goal.
