Epsilon Carbon gets SA8000 Certification for Social Accountability

Becomes the first Indian carbon black manufacturer to be awarded the SA8000 certification.

Epsilon Carbon Pvt. Ltd., a leading player in the carbon industry, has been conferred with the prestigious SA8000 certification from Social Accountability International (SAI), for adherence to the highest standards of social accountability and worker welfare. Epsilon Carbon is the first Indian carbon black manufacturer to be awarded this certification. The certification recognizes Epsilon Carbon’s dedicated efforts in ensuring ethical business practices and improving the lives of over 1,800 workers and their families at Epsilon’s township located in Vijayanagar.

Commitment Certification

The certification is a testament of Epsilon Carbon’s commitment to providing the workers with good housing, living standards, a clean environment and ensuring fair wages that meet national standards, reflecting its dedication to economic fairness. Additionally, Epsilon Carbon actively engages in community-building activities, significantly benefiting its workers, and their families. In recognition to the challenges faced by migrant workers, the company also provides comprehensive logistic support to help them settle and access essential services smoothly when they move to Epsilon’s township.
