GURGAON: Ecom Express Private Limited, a leading ecommerce logistics solutions provider, recently undertook a social initiative by renovating the local municipal school building of the Government Primary School in Sarai, Alawardi, Gurgaon. The activity was aimed towards providing a conducive learning environment at the school, which caters to underprivileged children of nearby area, as a means of giving back to the society.
Speaking on the initiative, Sanjeev Saxena, Director, Ecom Express Private Limited explained, “When we came here while deciding on the initiative, we felt we need to contribute by making sure the environment is more conducive for the teachers and students of the school. Hence, our decision to invest time and resources to get this place fixed to support government effort and particularly, the students who are leaders of tomorrow.”
The renovation program included plastering, flooring, and painting of the school building that houses 250 students. Ecom Express also provided chairs and tables for the teachers and sports items for the children as part of the initiative.
Commenting on the initiative, Roshni Devi, Head Mistress of the Government Primary School, Sarai, Alawardi said, “We are grateful for the huge support from the Ecom Express and investing in infrastructural development in our school. This has certainly motivated the teachers and students towards better learning and teaching facility.”
The teachers and students of the school showed their appreciation by spending some happy moments with the employees of Ecom Express.
