MUMBAI: Dr Nandita Palshetkar, India’s renowned obstetrician & Gynaecologist and one of the best IVF specialists was awarded at the event ‘Celebrating Womanhood’ (Jallosh Stree Tatvacha) to commemorate the International Women’s Day.
Successful women achievers from banking, bureaucracy, medical fraternity, legal and other important sectors were awarded for their contribution and achievements.
Mr Prakash Kulkarni welcomed the guests and the awardees while highlighting the growing women empowerment across various sectors.
Dr Nandita Palshetkar, on receiving the award, expressed her gratitude by saying, “I feel honoured to stand along with all other women achievers here. I would specially like to thank Free Press Journal and Navshakti group and Sanjeevani Kher for conceptualising this event. I feel blessed to know that my service to the medical field has helped so many women. Thank you once again.”
Other prominent winners of awards were Kiran Sahadev, Executive Director, LIC India, Swati Salunkhe, MD Growth Centre, Rugvedi Pradhan, film actor and producer, Meenakshi Dadhe, Founder of Bhagini Nivedita Bank, Ashalata Kulkarni, MD of Ashida Electronics, Pooja Keni, Sushma Karhad and Juilee Bhandare, captains of first Monorail, Usha Sangwan, the first lady MD of LIC India – in the presence of Advocate Nirmala Samant-Prabhavalkar member of National Commission for Women, Mr Prakash Kulkarni, Editor, Navshakti and Mr. Mukesh Sharma – Director of DD Sahyadri.
Well known singer Mandar Apte performed at the event which was jointly organised by The Free Press Journal and Navshakti newspapers.
