Wealth2life Founder Recognised for Driving Financial Inclusion Through Regional Language Education
MUMBAI (India CSR): Dr. Maria Pramila Dsouza, founder of Wealth2life and the community platform Finance Chapel, has been honoured as a Financial Literacy Champion at the prestigious HDFC Securities ‘Powerful Voices in Finance 2026‘. She was recognised for her impactful efforts in promoting financial literacy through regional languages and empowering individuals with practical financial knowledge.
At the awards ceremony held in Mumbai, she was honoured by Unmesh Sharma, Head – Institutional Equities, HDFC Securities Limited, acknowledging her contribution to advancing financial education through a community-driven and accessible approach.
Addressing India’s Financial Literacy Gap
In India, financial vulnerability remains high despite steady incomes. A large number of individuals lack understanding of basic concepts such as inflation, risk diversification, and insurance planning. This often leads to poor financial decisions, mis-sold products, and lack of long-term wealth creation.
Dr. Dsouza’s work directly addresses this gap by making financial education simple, practical, and relatable.
Wealth2life and Finance Chapel: A Growing Movement
Since 2020, through Wealth2life and Finance Chapel, she has built a strong digital-first ecosystem reaching audiences across India and Gulf countries. Her initiative caters to individuals aged 20 to 60+ and has created a community of over 12,000 people.
Her approach focuses on delivering financial education in Konkani and Kannada, making it accessible to those often excluded due to language barriers.
GEM Framework Driving Real Impact
Her financial literacy model is built on the GEM Framework:
- Grow Money (income and investments)
- Earn Money (wealth creation and multiple income streams)
- Manage Money (risk protection and financial discipline)
Through content, workshops, and guided support, she enables individuals to move from confusion to financial confidence.
Measurable Outcomes and Real Change
Her initiatives have reached over 10,000 individuals, with more than 1,000 participants attending structured financial sessions. Her YouTube channel has grown from 685 to 6,000+ subscribers in two years.
Many participants have created additional income streams, while one individual generated over Rs 50 lakh in a year, reflecting real-life impact.
A Scalable and Sustainable Model
Her hybrid model combines free digital content with paid programs and advisory services, ensuring both impact and sustainability. The digital-first approach allows scalability across regions and languages.
Dr. Maria Pramila Dsouza’s recognition highlights the growing importance of regional-language financial education in building a financially aware and independent India.
