MUMBAI: The International Business Federation (IBF), has recently acknowledged Dr. Huz (Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala), Trustee & CEO of Wockhardt Foundation for his service and effective work towards society and humanity. He has been awarded with International Business Federation (IBF) INDIA TOP AWARDS 2016, EXCELLENCE IN CSR PASSION for the efforts he has been making to uplift and rehabilitate the business community and humanity to the next rung of the ladder and propagating peace.
Accepting the award, Dr. Huz said – “I am overwhelmed on receiving the IBF- India Top award. I accept this award on behalf of 400 Warriors whose sweat and blood has made difference to the lives of more than a million people. Their service has brought a healing touch and touched the hearts of the underprivileged”
Dr. Huz has touched millions of lives through various initiatives like Little Hearts, Pronto Toilet, Pronto Bio-Toilet, E-Learning, Khel Khel Mein, Wockhardt Skills Development Institute, SHUDHU water purification tablets and Adarsh Gram Yojana, Mobile 1000. The impact created is positive, effective and successful in providing quality health, education, sanitation services to the needy section of the society.
Also through The World Peacekeepers Movement (TWPM), Dr. Huz has brought together more than a million people together on an online platform sharing the same dream of world peace and better future.
India Top Awards 2016, Excellence in CSR Passion is an award to acknowledge Dr. Huz as a person, for his beautiful thoughts and great work done by him towards welfare of society and humanity.
Wockhardt Foundation is a national, not-for-profit organization engaged in social service and human welfare activities. Its 9 programmes have made perceptible change in its areas of operations to the lives of the underprivileged. Mobile 1000, its flagship programme, aims at operating 1000 Mobile Health Vans in rural India and administering free primary healthcare to 25 million Indians every year. As of date, there are 91 Mobile 1000 Vans operating in 18 states and doing yeoman service to rural India.
