GURGAON: DLF Foundation, the philanthropic arm of real estate company DLF Ltd, has donated 11 vehicles to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), which prepares mid-day meals for the children of government schools in Gurgaon district through its Food Relief Foundation.
Lt-Gen Rajender Singh (retd), CEO of DLF Foundation, handed over the 11 Bolero vehicles to Venu Madhav Das, director (North India), ISKCON Food Relief Foundation, here recently.
Das said: “The ISKCON Foundation supplies meals to nearly 92,000 students in 600 schools of Gurgaon district”.
Gayatri Paul, associate director (programmes), DLF Foundation, said: “They are in the process of launching two flagship social initiatives, including an employability linked skill-development programme and an educational scholarship programme, for the underprivileged”.
“These initiatives will complement the existing social initiatives of DLF in education, health care, labour welfare and environmental initiatives,” she said.
