NEW DELHI: As India continues to grapple with the numerous ramifications of COVID-19, Wave Group has stood up and taken the lead in response to the crisis, by assisting the government, the medical fraternity, and the common people in myriad ways.
From providing medicines and ration to those in need, to fulfilling the urgent demand of oxygen in Uttar Pradesh, The Wave Group has left no stone unturned in helping the nation combat the COVID-19 crisis.
Due to the devastating second wave of the pandemic, the shortage of oxygen has been one of the biggest problems in the country. Immediately responding to this paucity, The Wave Group stood up and provided 60 oxygen concentrators to those in need. Out of these 60, 20 portable oxygen concentrators have been given to Department of Industries, Uttar Pradesh.
A few have been delivered to Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) for further distribution. Some of the concentrators have been installed at the company’s factories for on-site workers and some other have been sent to the group’s staff located across different cities.
What’s more is that, the business conglomerate has operationalized a COVID Centre comprising of 10 beds, doctors & nursing staff, oxygen concentrators, and a ready ambulance in Wave City, Noida. They have distributed hundreds of boxes of mineral water with thousands of water bottles across multiple districts of Uttar Pradesh such as Amroha, Bijnor and Bulandshahar, as well.
Apart from ensuring all safety protocols and regular sanitization in Wave Estate Mohali, the group has conducted a vaccination camp for residents, labour, staff, and channel partners catering to approximately 350 people.
They have donated Rs. 1 lac to the residents of the estate for the arrangement of oxygen cylinders and other medical aid during the pandemic. Further, a donation of Rs. 51,000 has been made by the group to the Mohali property Association to provide food for the needy.
In fighting the good fight, The Wave Group has also partnered with a leading news broadcaster for a special campaign called ‘Dil Se Sewa – Helping India Breathe’, which aims to provide the urgently needed support to the nation, as it battles with the ferocious second wave of the pandemic.
The funds raised under this campaign are being used to support the efforts of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee towards initiatives like ‘oxygen langars’, COVID care facility, free ambulance service, etc.
